Accessibility Statement

IAEA Navigator — Last updated July 2026

Our commitment

IAEA Navigator is developed with the aim of meeting WCAG 2.1 Level AA accessibility guidelines across all supported platforms (web, Android, iOS).

Colour contrast

Text and interactive elements use colours with a minimum 4.5:1 contrast ratio against their background, except for large-scale text (3:1 minimum).

Touch targets

All interactive elements meet the 48 × 48 dp minimum, following Material Design and WCAG 2.5.5 guidance. Topic chips, filter chips, and the role indicator have been verified to meet this minimum.

Text scaling

The app respects the system font-size setting. Layouts are tested at up to 200% text scale.

Screen orientation

Both portrait and landscape orientations are supported on all screens.

Screen readers

Interactive elements include semantic labels for TalkBack (Android) and VoiceOver (iOS/macOS): all icon buttons carry tooltips, topic chips and filter chips announce their name and selected state, stat tiles announce their label and value, publication cards announce as a single button with title, type, series number, year, and summary, and decorative elements are hidden from the accessibility tree.
