Our Commitment

Kernkraft Consulting Inc. is committed to making Sport Rosters accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We aim to meet or exceed platform accessibility guidelines on both iOS and Android.

Supported Features

Screen Readers

Sport Rosters is compatible with the built-in screen readers on both platforms:

• iOS: VoiceOver — interactive elements are labelled so VoiceOver can describe them accurately
• Android: TalkBack — buttons, inputs, and navigation items include semantic labels

Dynamic Text Sizing

The app respects your device's system font size setting. Increasing the text size in your device accessibility settings will increase text size throughout the app. Avatars and touch targets scale proportionally to remain usable at larger text sizes.

Dark Mode

Sport Rosters follows your device's system appearance setting. Switching to Dark Mode in your device settings will apply a dark colour scheme throughout the app, which can reduce eye strain and improve readability for some users.

Colour Contrast

UI elements are designed to meet WCAG AA contrast ratios. Interactive controls use distinct colours and icons so that meaning is not conveyed by colour alone.

Touch Targets

All interactive elements meet minimum touch target size guidelines to support users with motor accessibility needs.

Biometric Authentication

Face ID, Touch ID, and fingerprint unlock are supported as an alternative to password entry, which can be easier for users with motor or cognitive accessibility needs.

Known Limitations

We are continuously improving accessibility. Current known limitations include:

• Some drag-and-drop interactions in the lineup builder do not have a full keyboard or switch access alternative. A tap-based reordering option is planned.
• Complex data tables (boat seating, availability grids) may have reduced screen reader context on older devices.

To get the most from Sport Rosters, you can enable these platform features:

• iOS: Settings → Accessibility → VoiceOver, Display & Text Size, Motion
• Android: Settings → Accessibility → TalkBack, Font size, Display size
