Privacy Policy

Overview

Sport Rosters ("the App") is operated by Kernkraft Consulting Inc. ("we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use the App. We comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

Information We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to provide the App's features:

• Account information: Name, email address, and password (stored securely via Firebase Authentication)
• Profile information (optional): Phone number and profile photo — collected only if you choose to add them
• Team and event data: Teams you create or join, events, availability responses, and drop-in session participation
• Device information: FCM push notification token (for sending you event notifications)
• Weight (optional): Used exclusively for Dragon Boating boat balance calculations — never shared publicly

How We Use Your Information

• To provide team roster, scheduling, and lineup features
• To send push notifications about events on your teams (with your permission)
• To display your availability and RSVP status to your team's coach
• To improve app stability (crash reports via Firebase Crashlytics — no personal data logged)

Rankings Are Private

Player rankings entered by coaches are strictly private. Players cannot see their own rankings or anyone else's rankings. Rankings are accessible only to team admins (coaches).

Data Storage

All data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore), with the database region set to northamerica-northeast2 (Toronto, Canada) to comply with PIPEDA data residency expectations.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties, except:

• Google Firebase: Our infrastructure provider (Auth, Firestore, Storage, Messaging, Crashlytics)
• Google AdMob: For serving advertisements to free-tier users. AdMob may collect device identifiers for ad personalisation subject to Google's privacy policy
• Legal requirements: If required by law or to protect our rights

Your Rights (GDPR & PIPEDA)

You have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction: Update your profile information at any time in the App
• Deletion: Delete your account via Profile → Delete Account. This permanently removes all your data including availability records, lineup assignments, and drop-in history
• Portability: Request an export of your data
• Withdraw consent: Disable push notifications at any time in your device settings

Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all associated data is permanently deleted. Team data created by you (events, rosters) may be retained for other team members until the team is deleted by an admin.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the App or by email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
